4 tablespoons butter flavored shortening
flour
4 venison steaks
water
Recipe
Melt the shortening in a large cast iron skillet.
Add enough flour to make a paste mixture.
Place the steaks in the paste.
Cover both sides well with the paste.
Brown well on both sides.
Add 1/2 cup water and simmer slowly.
Add water occasionally as necessary until steaks are tender.
