    Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

    Great for Christmas, or just any time.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter or margerine
    • 1 1/4 cup crunch style peanut butter
    • 1 (1-lb) box confectioners sugar, sifted
    • 3 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
    • 1 (6 oz) pkg semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 (8 oz) milk chocolate bar
    • 1 (2 1/2x2 1/2x1 1/2") piece paraffin wax, cut up


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter in 2 qt heavy saucepan over low heat. Add peanut butter, stir until blended. Remove from heat.
    2. Combine confectioners sugar and rice cereal in mixing bowl. Pour hot peanut butter mixture over all, mix thoroughly, using hands.
    3. Shape mixture into 1" balls. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
    4. combine chocolate pieces, milk chocolate bar and paraffin wax in top of double boiler. Place over hot water until melted.
    5. Dip chilled peanut butter balls in chocolate mixture to coat. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets.
    6. Store in refrigerator. Makes 6 dozen.
