Chicken Casserole

Recipe Introduction
This is one of my favorite casseroles. We had it at mom's for my 55th birthday this weekend. Yummy.
List of Ingredients
- 2 Cans Swanson's Chicken Ala King
- 1 box Macaroni and Cheese, cooked per box directions
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 small to medium onion, finely chopped
- mushroom, sliced or chopped or canned and drained
- green pepper, if desired, chopped
- 2 Cups chicken, baked and cut up
Instructions
- Bake chicken as your normally would. Cut up to small, bite sized pieces. Place in large casserole dish.
- Cook macaroni and cheese, such as Kraft, according to package. After it's cooked, place in large dish with the chicken. Mix.
- Chop the desired vegetables and dump in the same casserole dish and mix well.
- Dump in the canned Chicken Ala King and mix well with the rest of the ingredients in the casserole dish.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for an hour.
Final Comments
I have added slivered almonds and/or water chestnuts to this casserole, too. Quite good. Veggie measurements can be adjusted to your liking.
