    Recipe Introduction


    This is one of my favorite casseroles. We had it at mom's for my 55th birthday this weekend. Yummy.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 Cans Swanson's Chicken Ala King
    • 1 box Macaroni and Cheese, cooked per box directions
    • 2 stalks celery, chopped
    • 1 small to medium onion, finely chopped
    • mushroom, sliced or chopped or canned and drained
    • green pepper, if desired, chopped
    • 2 Cups chicken, baked and cut up


    Instructions


    1. Bake chicken as your normally would. Cut up to small, bite sized pieces. Place in large casserole dish.
    2. Cook macaroni and cheese, such as Kraft, according to package. After it's cooked, place in large dish with the chicken. Mix.
    3. Chop the desired vegetables and dump in the same casserole dish and mix well.
    4. Dump in the canned Chicken Ala King and mix well with the rest of the ingredients in the casserole dish.
    5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for an hour.


    Final Comments


    I have added slivered almonds and/or water chestnuts to this casserole, too. Quite good. Veggie measurements can be adjusted to your liking.
