    STARLIGHT MINT SURPRISE COOKIES

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 1/4 cup flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1/2 cup crisco
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 Tbsp water
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 or 2 bags chocolate mint wafers
    • 1 bag walnut halves


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Cream together butter and crisco, add both sugars and mix well
    3. Add eggs, water and vanilla. Blend well.
    4. Mix in the dry ingredients, blend well. Chill or freeze the cookie dough for an hour or so.
    5. Enclose each wafer in about one Tbsp of cookie dough and smooth out the edges. Place on cookie sheet and place half a walnut on top.
    6. Place on ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
    7. Bake in a moderate oven at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned.
    8. Makes about 3 dozen or so cookies.
