    Beef Slush (for sandwiches)

    My mother's recipe tin.

    List of Ingredients


    • 7 - 8 lb chuck roast
    • 5 beef bouillon cubes
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup


    Instructions


    1. Dissolve beef bouillon cubes in water, pour over beef, sprinkle onion soup over beef.

    2. Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 3 to 4 hours. Keep an eye on it after 3 hours, so it won't get too dry. Add more water, if necessary.

    3. Pour off the liquid and refrigerate to let the fat rise.

    4. Break the meat apart and pour liquid over the meat.

    5. Discard the fat.

    6. Heat till baked through.

    7. Take a heaping spoonful or more and place on buttered hamburger buns or bread.



    Final Comments


    You can add more than 5 beef bouillon cubes, if you don't mind salty beef.
