    Recipe Introduction

Tasty, easy, cheap...who wouldn't love it. Plus, it's got such a happy name.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 loaf of italian or french bread
    • 1/2 cup of your favorite butter/margarine
    • 1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
    • 5-6 slices cheese (any kind you like) halved diagonally

    Instructions

    1. Heat your oven to 375'; or you can put this on the grill
    2. Use a sharp, serrated knife to cut diagonal slices in the bread. DON'T CUT ALL THE WAY THRU THE BOTTOM OF THE BREAD (you can stick a skewer lengthwise through the bottom of the loaf to give your knife a stopping guide) Make a double layer of foil to fit around your loaf. Put the bread on the foil, but don't close it, yet.
    3. Melt the butter or margarine. Mix in the mustard(use more or less to taste)
    4. Brush the butter/mustard into the slits in your bread. Pour any extra over the top.
    5. Stick a half slice of cheese in the slits. Double it up if you like things cheesy.
    6. Seal up your cheesy mustard-butter baby in foil and put it on the grill or in the oven for 15-25 minutes.
    7. If you are not fond of mustard (maybe he hurt your feelings in the past; give him one more chance)- try using herbs/spices or steak sauce instead. Yummy stuff
    8. If you prefer your bread a bit more toasted, just leave the foil open and cook a little longer.
    9. Rip off a slice and make your tastebuds do a happy dance.
      Are you smiling yet?
