1 1/2 CUPS DARK BROWN SUGAR,3/4 CUPS GRANULATED SUGAR,1/8 TEASPOON SALT,1/2 CUP WATER,3 TABLESPOONS OF SHORTENING,1 1/2 TABLESPOONS OF CORN SYRUP,1 1/2 TEASPOONS OF VANILLA.

MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS EXCEPT THE VANILLA IN A POT,BRING SLOWLY TO THE BOILING POINT,STIRRING CONSTANTLY,AND BOIL FOR JUST ONE MINUTE.COOL TO LUKEWARM,ADD THE VANILLA,AND BEAT UNTIL THICK ENOUGH TO SPREAD.THIS WILL FROST A 8 INCH TWO LAYER CAKE.
