2 OUNCES UNSWEETENED CHOCOLATE, 1 TABLESPOON VEGETABLE SHORTENING, 1/3 CUP WATER, ( MORE IF NECESSARY) 2 CUPS CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR, 1 TEASPOON VANILLA, MELT THE CHOCOLATE,ADD SHORTENING,WATER,TOGETHER IN A SMALL BOWL OR POT OVER SIMMERING WATER,COOL TO LUKEWARM,THEN STIR IN THE SUGAR AND VANILLA.BEAT TILL THICK ENOUGH TO SPREAD.THIS WILL BE ENOUGH TO FROST 2-8 INCH LAYER CAKE.RATED * * * *
