    Bonelli Mushroom Stew

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound stew beef
    1 T oil
    1/2 onion, diced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    Spaghetti spices ( 1/2 T basil,1 T oregano, 1/4 t crushed red pepper)
    1-2 T Parsley
    1 large can tomatoes (plain or stewed)
    1 15 oz can tomato sauce
    1-2 pounds sheepshead (cauliflower) mushrooms, cleaned and boiled in salt water

    Recipe



    In pressure cooker, heat oil and brown beef. Add onion and garlic. Saute til onion is transparent. Add spices and persley. Add tomatoes and sauce, searing sauce. Add mushrooms, put lid on and pressure 15 minutes at 10 pounds. Add cubed, salted potatoes on top of stew and pressure cook about 5 minutes. (Please! Be careful when using a pressure cooker! Steam can cause NASTY burns!)

    **** NOTE: My family uses mushrooms we pick ourselves here in Michigan. Sheepshead are found beneath oak trees in the fall. Please, if you are not an experienced mushroom picker or unsure about any mushroom, DON'T EAT IT! It's not worth the risk. Just a friendly note from me to you! :)
