    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup corn flakes
    • 1 cup coconut
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1 egg
    • 4 large scoops ice cream


    Instructions


    1. In a medium bowl, slightly crush the corn flakes and mix with the coconut and brown sugar.
    2. Place on a sheetpanin a thin layer, and toast in a 350 degree oven until coconut is golden.
    3. While baking,toss ingredients every couple minutes to ensure even browning.
    4. Remove from oven, set asideand allow to cool completely.
    5. Using a large scoop, quickly place four well rounded portions of ice cream on a small sheetpan.
    6. Return ice cream to the freezeruntil they harden.
    7. when ice cream is frozen, combine the milk with egg and beat into an egg wash, have the crumb topping cool, and ready.
    8. Remove ice cream from freezer, dip in egg wash, and coat evenly with crumbs.
    9. Make sure to keep the round shape of the ice cream.
    10. Return to sheetpan and refreeze until serve time.
    11. To fry, heat enough clean vegetable oil to completely cover ice cream by at least 2 inches to 325 degrees.
    12. When oil is hot remove one portion at a time from freezer and immediately submerge in the fryer for one to two seconds.
    13. Gently remove from the fry basket and drain on absorbent paper for a few seconds.
    14. Serve immediately with a warm chocolate, butterscotch,carmel, or other choice of sauce.


    Final Comments


    Remember oil must be at the proper temperature or crumb will not fry. and do not leave ice cream in fryer or it will melt. Very easy recipe as long as basic steps are followed.
