List of Ingredients
- 5 to 7 potatoes, peeled
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons snipped chives
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt (optional)
Instructions
- Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water; add 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat;cover and cook for about 25 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
- Drain.
- In a large bowl, mash the potatoes until smooth.
- Add cream cheese,butter,chives,pepper, and remaining salt; gradually beat in the buttermilk.
