Roast Garlic with Croutons

Recipe Introduction
Your guests will be astonished to be served a whole roast garlic as an appetizer. Roast garlic has a heavenly flavor and is so irresistible that they will even forgive you the next day.
List of Ingredients
2 garlic bulbs
3 tbs olive oil
3 tbs water
1 sprig of rosemary
1 sprig of thyme
1 bay leaf
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
To serve
slices of french bread
olive or sunflower oil for frying
6 ounces vegan cream cheese
2 tsp chopped fresh herbs (marjoram, parsley and chives)

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place the garlic bulbs in a small ovenproof dish and drizzle with the oil and water. Add the rosemary, thyme and bay leaf and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. Cover with foil and bake for 30 min.
2. Remove the foil, baste the garlic heads with the juices from the dish and bake for another 15-20 minutes, until they feel soft when pressed.
3. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the french bread on both sides until golden. Blend the cheese with the mixed herbs and place on a serving dish.
4. Cut each garlic bulb in half and open out slightly. Serve the garlic on small plates with the croutons and soft cheese. each garlic clove should be squeezed out of its papery shell, spread over a crouton and eaten with the cheese.
