    List of Ingredients




    Part 1
    Dissolve 1 1/2 cups brown sugar in 1 1/2 cups hot water in a 9 by 13 pan. Set aside until batter is ready.
    Part 2
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup flour
    1 tsp. packing pokwder
    pinch of salt
    1/2 cup chopped dates
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
    1 cup milk
    1 tsp vanilla

    Recipe



    Combine dry ingredients. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in dates and nuts. Do not mix batter with syrup when pouring batter into syrup. Bake at 350 about 1 hour. Serve with shipped cream.
