    Recipe Introduction


    Jim and I took his dad to Germany just prior to Christmas. Everyone was drinking this holiday wine and we got into the tradition too!


    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups heavy red wine
    • 2 Tsp Sugar
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 3 cloves
    • 2 orange slices
    • 1 Tbsp Rum


    Instructions


    1. Bring all the ingredients to the boiling point, but do NOT boil. Watch closely!
    2. Strain and pour into mugs.
    3. Serve piping HOT.


    Final Comments


    Pronounced GLUE WINE and it is served all over Germany during the Christmas season.
