Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole

- 1 (2 lb) package frozen hash browns
- 16 ounces low fat sour cream
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can 98% fat free cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar or colby cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Season slightly thawed potatoes with salt and pepper.
- Sautee the onions in the butter, until soft.
- In a bowl stir together the soup, butter and onions, sour cream, and 1 cup of cheese.
- Slowly add the potatoes to your mixture, coating them evenly.
- Transfer coated potatoes into a 9"x13" greased baking pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese over the top of the potatoes.
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes.
