    Applesauce Cherry Nut Bread

    2 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (I like pecans)
    1/3 c. chopped maraschino cherries
    1 egg
    1 c. applesauce
    2 tbsp. oil

    Recipe



    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in small bowl. Stir in nuts and cherries. Add mixture of egg, applesauce and oil; stir until just mixed. Spoon into greased loaf pan.

    Bake in 350°F oven for 1 hour, or until tests done.

    Cool in pan for 10 mins. before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
