Cherry Pecan Bread

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped pecans
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries (drained and chopped)
1 tsp. vanilla Recipe
Cream sugar, margarine and eggs until fluffy.
In a separate bowl stir soda, salt, and flour. Add to cream mixture with the milk. Stir until blended. Stir in vanilla, nuts and cherries.
Pour into greased 5x9 loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes.
