    2 cups flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1-1/2 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
    2 cups shredded CRACKER BARREL Sharp Cheddar Cheese
    1 cup milk
    1 egg, beaten

    Recipe



    MIX dry ingredients; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese. Add combined milk and egg; mix just until moistened.

    SPOON into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.

    BAKE at 400°F for 45 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan.

    KRAFT KITCHENS TIPS

    Mexican Cheese Bread: Prepare as directed, substituting 1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Mexican Style Shredded Cheese for shredded CRACKER BARREL Cheese and adding 1 can (4-1/2 oz.) chopped green chilies, drained, to batter with milk and egg.
