Butter Pecan Cake

2 sticks butter
2 cups pecans
1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe golden cake mix
1 pkg. butterscotch pudding mix
1 stick butter
4 eggs
3/4 cup milk
Recipe
Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour three 8 inch round pans.
Melt 2 sticks of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add pecans and brown for 10-15 minutes stirring often.
Beat cake mix, pudding mix, 1 stick of softened butter, eggs and milk for 3 minutes. Fold in pecans with a spoon. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 35 minutes.
Notes: I frosted my cake with a Caramel Frosting. Every crumb was devoured last night by 10 people! I guess that means it was good.
I think next time I will try this with a pudding enhanced butter pecan flavored cake mix and omit the pudding mix.
