List of Ingredients




CAKE:
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
4 T. cocoa powder
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla

ICING:
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 lb. box powdered sugar
6 T. buttermilk
4 T. cocoa powder
1 stick butter
1 t. vanilla

Recipe



CAKE: In a large bowl, sift flour, baking soda, salt; add sugar, butter and cocoa. Bring 1 c. water to a boil and pour over dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs abd vanilla. Mix well and spread into a jelly roll pan. Bake at 350º for 15 - 20 mins. Cool.

ICING: Melt butter; add cocoa and buttermilk. Bring to a boil. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Spread on cake while icing is still hot.
