Chocolate Syrup Cake

Also called "Hershey's Syrup Cake", this was posted by two people at the recipe board I frequent. This is kind of a "medium" cake, not heavy, but not real light either. It has a nice chocolate flavor.


List of Ingredients




1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup
Canned fudge frosting or homemade fudge frosting

Recipe



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in the eggs. Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Then vanilla and syrup. The batter will be thin. Pour into greased 13x9 inch pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost when cool.
