4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup hot milk
1/4 pound butter
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp lemon extract
sprinkle of nutmeg

Recipe



Beat eggs until lemon colored, adding sugar slowly. Bring milk and butter to a boil, add alternately with flour and baking powder to the mixing bowl. Add lemon extract. Beat well. Pour batter into tbe pan that has been greased and floured. Sprinkle the top of the batter with nutmeg. Bake at 375 degrees for 55 minutes.
