Nutmeg Feather Cake

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
3 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
2 t. nutmeg
1 t. Baking soda
1 t. Baking powder
1 cup Buttermilk (Use substitute, put about a Tablespoon of vinegar in a measuring cup and fill up with milk. Let set a couple of minutes.)Recipe
Cream butter and shortening together, Gradually add sugar, And beat until light and fluffy.
Put dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk. Beat well after each addition.
Pour into a greased bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
When cool you can sift powdered sugar over the cake (It will soon disappear) or you can drizzle a glaze on it.
