Rum Cake

Bacardi Rum
List of Ingredients
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 Duncan Hines yellow cake mix (or equivalent)
1 small Jell-O instant French vanilla pudding (or equivalent)
4 eggs
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup dark rum (Bacardi is best)
Recipe
Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan. Mix all ingredients together and pour over nuts. Bake 1 hour at 325°.
Cool in pan for 15 minutes and invert on serving plate. Prick top of cake numerous times with ice pick and drizzle glaze over top and sides. Allow cake to absorb all glaze. Repeat until all is used.
Glaze:
1/4 pound butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup dark rum (Bacardi is best)
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in rum.
