TEXAS SHEET CAKE with PEPPERMINT ICING

List of Ingredients




Mix together and set aside:

2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
2 cups sugar

Bring to boil:

1 stick margarine (real thing - not spread)
1/2 cup Crisco
4 Tbls. unsweetened cocoa
1 cup water

Pour boiled mixture over flour/sugar mixture and mix well.

Add:

2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Recipe



Beat until smooth. Pour into greased 15x10x1" jelly roll pan. and bake at 350ºF for 20-25 minutes. When completely cool, ice with peppermint icing.

PEPPERMINT ICING

3 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/3 cup margarine (real thing)
3-4 Tbls. milk
1/2 tsp. peppermint flavoring
4-5 drops green food coloring, if desired.
