List of Ingredients




2 sticks butter or margarine
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
2 cups plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring

FROSTING:
1 stick butter or margarine
4 tbsp. milk
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Recipe



Cake:
Bring to a boil the butter and water.

Remove from heat. Add remainder of ingredients and mix well.

Pour into greased and floured cookie sheet with sides.

Bake in a preheated 350ºF. oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

FROSTING:
Bring to a boil the butter and milk. Remove from heat and add confectioners' sugar and vanilla.

Frost cake while it is still warm. (Sprinkle a few chopped pecans over the frosting, if you wish.)
