    Butterfinger Candy

    Source of Recipe

    internet

    List of Ingredients

    1 lb. candy corn
    16 oz jar peanut butter
16 oz pkg. chocolate candy coating

    Recipe

Melt candy corn in microwave on high 1 minute. Stir and continue cooking in 15-second intervals till melted, stirring after each interval. Stir in peanut butter. Spread mixture in a buttered dish. Cool completely. Cut into squares. Dip in melted chocolate candy coating. Lay on waxed paper to set.

Patty's Notes: I made 1/2 the recipe. Just wanted to see if we liked it first. I bought the candy corn at Target and I used crunchy peanut butter. I have candy melt already. But I've seen it at Wal-mart or the craft stores, it's made by Wilton. You can even purchase a small container of it at our local grocery store, it's near the strawberries. It's all pretty much the same thing.

Once you melt the candy corn, mix the peanut butter quickly. It looks like it's getting greasy, but remember, the peanut butter is melting as well. I used an 8 x 8 in pan and lined it with release foil. It worked great! Immediately, pour the mixture into the pan once it's mixed! Spread it with plastic spoon and let cool completely. Once it's cool, I took the foil off and placed it on my cutting board. I used a pizza cutter to cut it into pieces. Quick and easy. Then melted the choc and dunked. I used my silpat mat to place the dipped candy on. But waxed paper works well too! It takes on the texture once it's cool. I must make them again, as DS and DH like them better than the real thing! LOL! Enjoy!
