    1 1/2 C chopped, toasted pecans, divided
    1 C sugar
    1 C butter
    1 T light corn syrup
    1/4 C water
    1 C semi-sweet chocolate morsels

    Recipe



    Spread 1 C pecans in a 9" lightly greased pie pan or make your own shape. If you want it thinner, make it larger. Place on a cookie sheet for stability.

    Bring sugar, butter, corn syrup and water to a boil in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until a candy thermometer registers 290�F to 310�F, about 15 minutes. Pour sugar mixture over pecans.

    Sprinkle with morsels. Let stand 30 seconds and spread evenly over top. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Chill for 1 hour. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
