    1 1/2 C chopped, toasted pecans, divided
    1 C sugar
    1 C butter
    1 T light corn syrup
    1/4 C water
    1 C semi-sweet chocolate morsels

    Recipe



    Spread 1 C pecans in a 9" lightly greased pie pan or make your own shape. If you want it thinner, make it larger. Place on a cookie sheet for stability.

    Bring sugar, butter, corn syrup and water to a boil in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until a candy thermometer registers 290ºF to 310ºF, about 15 minutes. Pour sugar mixture over pecans.

    Sprinkle with morsels. Let stand 30 seconds and spread evenly over top. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Chill for 1 hour. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
