ROUND STEAK SUPPER

2 lbs round steak, 1-inch thick, cut in servings
2 t. salt
dash pepper
Enriched flour
6 med. onions, sliced
1/4 cup fat
3 large potatoes, halved
1 bay leaf
1 can tomato soup
1 (1 lb can - 2 c.) French-cut green beans, drainedRecipe
Season meat with salt and pepper. Roll in flour. Cook onions in fat until tender. Remove onions. Brown meat slowly on both sides. Place meat in 3-quart casserole; add onions, potatoes, and bay leaf. Pour soup over. Cover. Bake 350ºF, one hour and 45 minutes, or till meat is tender. Add green beans. Cook 10-15 min. longer.
Serves 6-8; Serve with toasted French Bread.
