    Strawberry Pretzel Salad

    List of Ingredients




    1st Layer (Crust):
    2 cups crushed pretzels
    3 Tablespoons Sugar
    3/4 cup melted margarine
    1/4 cup crushed pecans (optional)

    Mix above ingredients together and spread in a 9X13 inch pan that has been sprayed lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 350ºF degrees for 10 minutes. Cool completely.

    2nd Layer:
    1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
    1 (8 ounce) container cool whip
    1 cup sugar

    Beat the above together with mixer. Spread over pretzel crust. *note* fat free cream cheese or cool whip does not set up right. Make sure the pretzel crust is completely covered with this mixture so that the jello won't leak through or it tends to make the crust soggy.

    3rd Layer:
    1 large box Strawberry Jello
    2 cups boiling water
    16 ounce package frozen sliced strawberries, unsweetened

    Recipe



    Melt jello in boiling water. Let cool slightly for about 1/2 hour. Add frozen strawberries that have been slightly thawed. Pour the jello strawberry mixture over the cheese layer.

    Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
