Grandma's Chew Bread

1 lb. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans

Recipe



Heat oven to 400ºF. Grease a 15X10 jellyroll pan; set aside. In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar and eggs. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, stir in the flour, salt, vanilla and pecans. Spoon mixture into pan and bake 15 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

Note: A southern style bar cookie loaded with brown sugar and pecans.
