    BARS:
    1 pkg. dry chocolate cake mix
    1 1/2 c. milk
    5 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. Crisco shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe



    Mix cake mix as package directs. Spread into 2 greased and floured 9x13-inch pans. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350º.

    Cook milk and flour until it forms a thick paste; cool.

    Beat the sugar, margarine, Crisco and vanilla until creamy. Add cooled paste and continue beating on high speed for 7 minutes. Spread on cooled cakes and refrigerate 1 hour before frosting. (recipe follows)

    FROSTING
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. chocolate chips

    Heat sugar, margarine and milk; boil 2 minutes. Remove from
    heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until melted and quickly pour over filling and refrigerate.
