    Pecan Graham Bars

    1 cup butter
    1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    20 graham cracker squares (you may add a few more if space allows)
    1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350ºF. Place graham crackers on a foil-lined baking sheet.

    Combine butter and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour sugar mixture over graham crackers. Sprinkle with pecans.

    Bake 6 to 8 minutes, watching closely so as not to burn. Cool completely before removing from foil. Break in half.

    Yield: 40 cookies.

    Note: You may break the graham squares in half before pouring sugar mixture over them, if desired. Also, allowing the cookies to cool on the foil for, at least, a few hours makes them easier to handle.
