    CHOCOLATE CHUNK PECAN COOKIES

    List of Ingredients

    2/3 c. butter or margarine, at room temperature
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3 bars (3 oz. each) dark chocolate, chopped in 1/2-inch pieces
    2/3 c. chopped pecans

    Recipe

    Heat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugars, egg and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour and beat until blended. Stir in chocolate and pecans. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough 2 1/2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake cookies 1 sheet at a time for 17 minutes, until edges look brown and tops look dry. Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then remove to rack until completely cooled. Makes about 22 large cookies.
