List of Ingredients




3/4 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
2 large eggs, beaten
1 Tblsp milk
2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup raisins, chopped
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Recipe



Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease cookie sheets.

Combine shortening, sugar & spices, beating well. Add eggs & milk; beat until well blended.

In med mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking soda & salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring well. Fold in raisins & pecans. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto prepared cookie sheets; flatten each cookie slightly, using back of a spoon.

Bake in 350ºF oven 12 mins. Remove to wire racks; cool. Store in airtight containers.
