    Tippy's Almond Cream Cheese Pound Cake

    1 box yellow cake mix*
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract*
    4 eggs
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup oil

    Recipe

    Beat together cream cheese, sugar, eggs, extracts, oil and water. Beat in the cake mix. Beat until well combined and creamy. Pour into a prepared bundt pan*. Place in a preheated oven at 350ºF. Bake 35-40 min. (mine took a little longer) or until done. Cool completely on wire rack. Dust heavily with powdered sugar if desired.

    Tippy: *We tried it also with a lemon cake mix with coconut extract instead of the almond. Delish! *I've done the cake in 2 loaf pans too. Freeze one for later. This was originally posted by Maddymoo but I came by it through Donna De. It's a wonderfully versatile recipe. I even made it with a gluten free cake mix and tofuti cream cheese.
