1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
l can chili beans
1/4 cup diced green chili
1 envelop Taco seasoning
4 corn tortillas
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 to 1 cup water, if necessary
Shredded Cheddar cheese to cover


Recipe



In skillet, brown hamburger and onion. Drain grease. Meanwhile line a greased 8" square baking dish with corn tortillas. Add beans, chili, taco seasoning, tomato sauce and water to hamburger mixture. Place mixture on corn tortillas. Cover with shredded cheese. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and mixture is thickened.

This dish can also be made without the corn tortillas but with a cornbread topping. It can be served with lettuce and a dollop of sour cream as for a Frito Pie.
