Beth's Taco Soup

List of Ingredients
2 lbs of ground beef (could use turkey)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes (I use the ones with jalapeños in)
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 can (15 1/4 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, rinsed and drained (I use the ones with jalapeños in)
1 envelope taco seasoning mixRecipe
In a Dutch oven or soup kettle, brown beef and onion. Drain. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, corn, beans and taco seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. If desired, top each serving with cheese, avocado, and tomato and serve with chips. Yield: 10 servings (2 1/2 quarts)
