Cheri's French Fried Onions like Durkee

Recipe Introduction
Make your own French Fried Onions like Durkee. I make them gluten free with GF flour mix.
List of Ingredients
3 large onions, sliced thin and separated into rings
2 cups milk
2 cups flour
oil for frying
salt to taste
Recipe
Soak onions in milk for 5 minutes.
Heat oil.
Take handfuls of onions and run through flour with a fork to coat.
Fry in batches, stirring as needed to brown evenly.
Drain on paper towels and season to taste.
Store in an airtight container.
