    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup warm water

    2 pkgs yeast (I use 2 Tablespoons bulk yeast)

    2 cups warm milk

    5 1/2 to 6 cups flour (I use 5 1/2 or less)

    1 Tablespoon sugar

    2 teaspoons salt

    1/4 teaspoon soda

    cornmeal

    Recipe



    Proof yeast in warm water five minutes or so. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

    Dough will be kind of sticky but stiff enough to spoon into bread pans.

    Grease well two bread pans and sprinkle sides and bottom liberally with cornmeal. Spoon dough into pans and leave rough on top. Again sprinkle liberally with cornmeal.

    Let rise in warm place 45 minutes.

    Bake at 400 for 25 minutes.

    Immediately turn out of pans and cool.

    Slice and toast.
