Doreen's Italian Sausage and Lunguini Marinara

1 pkg (20 oz.) Italian Sausage
2 teaspoons or more minced garlic
1 jar Marinara Pasta Sauce (I used garlic- herb)
1 med. Zucchini, cut into ½" pieces
1 cup kalamata olives, halved
1 can (7 oz.) mushrooms, drained
8-12 oz. linguine noodles
½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
Recipe
Remove sausage from casings and brown in a large skillet over med-high heat, breaking up as it cooks, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook until meat is well done. Stir in pasta sauce and bring to a boil. Add zucchini, olives and mushrooms. Lower heat to med-low, cover pan and simmer 10 minutes or until squash is tender.
In the meantime, cook linguini according to pkg directions and drain.
Toss pasta with sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
***I used fresh mushrooms and added them with the garlic.
Doreen: I got this recipe on Sunday at our new HEB store. Made it for supper tonight and it was a winner!
