    Lois's My Grandma Eisenhauer's Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies

    Source of Recipe

    internet

    List of Ingredients

    Little over 1/2 cup butter
    Little over 1/2 cup milk
    1 cup raisins
    1 tsp cinnamon
    2 cups oatmeal
    Little salt
    1 cup sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp soda
    2 cups flour

    Recipe

Mix as you would cake. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350°F till light brown.

These are soft cakelike cookies. Very good!

Note: This recipe was always in my Mom's recipe box and was used often. My grandma died around 1957-1958 in her 80's so it has been around a long time. Being a farm wife with 11 children I am sure she did a lot of cooking and not a lot of measuring. I remember these being in her pantry when I went to her house.

    Enjoy!
