Penny's Dressing for Wilted Lettuce

Depending on the amount of lettuce you have, large bowl calls for all this.
Cut up 1/2 lb. of bacon & fry very crisp, after fried mix in 1/2 cup of sugar, stir till sugar dissolved, then add 1/2 cup cider vinegar, make sure is nice & bubbly & sugar is all dissolved.....do NOT drain bacon grease, use that also.
To the lettuce add 4-5 hard boiled eggs, several green onions, all diced.....pour bacon grease, sugar/vinegar over all, then dress a little bit with Miracle Whip or your choice of dressing.
We can make a meal out of this, maybe a sliced tomato or two....yum!
