Recipe Introduction
If you grow herbs, try growing lovage. It's a perennial herb, looks like flat leaf parsley, and has a celery-like taste. It gives salads a unique taste.
List of Ingredients
1 (2-pound bag) cooked salad shrimp, tails removed, halved lengthwise (If bigger than salad shrimp size, you may want to chunk the shrimp.)
4 tablespoons minced fresh dill
2 tablespoons minced fresh flat-leaf parsley
2 tablespoons minced fresh lovage (optional)
1/4 cup each mayonnaise and sour cream (or plain yogurt)
1 tablespoon or to taste Dijon mustard
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Red onion, thinly sliced
3 ribs celery, diagonally thin sliced
Butter lettuce blend with radicchio
Good tomato, thinly sliced
Hard boiled eggs, chopped (optional)
Recipe
Mix all but onion, tomato, celery, eggs and salad blend. Chill well. Adjust seasonings. Arrange vegetables and egg on a plate or into a shallow bowl. Top with shrimp mixture. Serve with crusty bread. [So, basically, the shrimp mix is your salad dressing!] {The ingredients for the dressing also make a great shrimp cocktail dip.}
