    It¹s Oktoberfest!!! Put on your leiter hosen and fire up the oompa band it's time for Oktoberfest. In 1810 King Ludwig the first wanted to celebrate his marriage by proclaiming a fall festival. The celebration was such a success that Ludwig issued a royal decree making October festival time in Germany. Join the celebration with this noodle and cabbage recipe.

    List of Ingredients




    8 oz Noodles (wide)
    5 cups Cabbage (shredded)
    6 Tbs. Butter
    2 tsp. Sugar
    1 tsp. Caraway Seeds
    Salt & Pepper (to taste)

    Garnish:
    2 Tbs. Parsley (fresh, minced)

    Recipe



    Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add Cabbage, Sugar, Caraway Seeds, Salt and Pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until Cabbage is crisp tender.
    Keep warm.

    Cook Noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain Noodles and toss with Cabbage mixture. Garnish with minced Parsley and serve.

    Serves 6

    Serve with your favorite Brats or you may wish to cut the cooked brats into one inch pieces and add to the noodles and cabbage.
