    Recipe Introduction

During the Great Depression, many families who could not afford the luxury of butter, let their ingenuity take over. A recipe for what we know as "dipping oil" was created. Today, this same recipe is used in many great restaurants all over the world.

    List of Ingredients

    1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 Tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
    Salt, if desired

    Recipe

Drizzle olive oil in a shallow sauce-type dish. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and dash with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Salt may also be added, if you wish.

Dip with crusty fresh Italian bread.
