    Nutter Butter Peanut Pie

    Crust
    24 Nutter Butter Sandwich Cookies
    5 Tablespoons melted butter

    Filling
    8 ounces cream cheese, softened
    1 cup peanut butter, creamy
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 Tablespoon vanilla
    8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed, divided

    Recipe

    Crust: Crush cookies in a zip-loc plastic bag with a rolling pin or in a food processor. Mix cookie crumbs with butter. Press mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan.

    Filling: Mix cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla with a mixer at medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip. Spoon mixture over crust. Freeze 4 hours or overnight until firm.

    To Serve: Let pie stand at room temperature 30 minutes or until it can be easily cut. Garnish with remaining Cool Whip and additional cookies, if desired.

    Serves 6 to 8.
