Last year for Christmas, I made the following mixes for dips and put them in a basket with a couple of cute dip bowls and a big bowl for chips.
Onion Dip Mix
2 Teaspoons Instant Beef Bouillon
1 Tablespoon minced onions
1 Dash granulated garlic
1/2 Teaspoon dried chives
1/2 Teaspoon parsley
1/4 Teaspoon powdered onion
Mix all of the above ingredients together.
TO USE: Mix 2 Tablespoons to one cup of sour cream.
Let sit in refrigerator for 1 hour prior to serving.
Sesame-Cheese Dip Mix
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon whole celery seed -- or more
1 dash pepper
1/8 tablespoon garlic powder
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl; blend
well. Store in an airtight container in a cool,dry place and use within 4 months.
Sesame-Cheese Dip: Combine 1 cup of sour cream
and 1 package of mix. Chill at least 1 hour
before serving. Makes about 1 cup of dip.
Mexican Dip Mix
1/2 cup dried parsley
1/3 cup dried minced onion
1/4 cup dried chives
1/2 cup chili powder
1/4 cup cumin powder
1/4 cup salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons dried cilantro
Mix together thoroughly and place in a
airtight container.To prepare:
3 tablespoons mexican dip mix
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
Mix together thoroughly and refrigerate
until serving.
