20 ounces distilled water (NOT tap water)
1 teaspoon Downy fabric softener (liquid)



Recipe



Mix the ingredients well in the spray bottle. Hang garment on a hanger. Gently mist with spray. Lightly tug and smooth the fabric and allow to hang dry.

Note: Do not use tap water as it may contain minerals which over a period of time, may stain garment.



Posted by: arelabs:I got this from the Internet and tried it. Yes, yes, yes, it works. Much cheaper than buying the Downy Spray, that's for sure.

I used 1 heaping teaspoon to 2 1/2 cups distilled water (20-oz) and it worked fine. I suppose a little more softener would be okay, especially if you want a stronger scent, but I think adding more than 2 teaspoons needs testing on the fabric first. Otherwise, this stuff is fantastic!!! Arlene
