    French Onion Burgers

    Campbell's Soup via Shan

    Recipe Introduction

    This is another recipe from Campbell's Soup. I usually have to half this recipe over again because my family loves it so much.~Shan

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 lbs ground beef
    10 3/4 oz. can French Onion soup
    6 slices Swiss cheese
    6 thick slices French bread

    Recipe

    Shape beef into 6 patties about 1/2" thick. In medium skillet over medium-high heat cook patties in 2 batches until browned. Set patties aside, pour off fat. Add soup to skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook about 15 minutes or until burgers are cooked through. Place cheese on patties and cook until cheese is melted. Serve on bread with soup mixture.

    **Shan's Note: When I half the recipe over again I use a can of beef consumme instead of a second can of French Onion soup, I like to do that even if I just make the 6 servings also.
